Last weekend I finally got to see The Hobbit. However, I was also sick with a headache Saturday which meant I didn't get as much done as I needed. That set me back a little all week.
Work this week was really good. I have a project looming that I am worried about but over the course of the week, progress has been good. I hope progress remains good this coming week.
I finally got around to testing out the mixer I got for Christmas. It didn't work! I exchanged it today and I'll test it later to make sure this one works.
The mole on my back, the one I have wanted removed for at least ten years, I finally made an appointment to get it removed - which is this Wednesday. I no sooner made an appointment but I accidentally cut the mole half off. My back itched, I rubbed against the wall, and I must have angled it just right because bam, ouch! Blood everywhere. It's been a pain but I decided to just stick a bandaid on and deal until my appointment.
I booked all the Canada trip this week and think I pretty much have it all sorted. (A little under $2600 so far!) I've been having a lot of little good luck lately. I'm so happy I went and purchased snow/ski clothes when I did. I got lucky - lowest price with the best selection. I went back to Academy last weekend because I decided I wanted to buy another Fleece Jacket. They were a good deal at $10. Well, they were completely sold out of them and almost everything else. I almost walked out of the store with nothing when I just happened to spy 2 fleece jackets hanging in the front of the store. One was a Small pink. Almost perfect. A Medium would have been better, but small will do. I'll shrink into it and pink was the color I wanted.
I also happened to find some fleece pants, wind pants, and a sweater at Walmart for a very good deal. Today, I purchased some mittens for $6. I was at the dollar store and saw some heat warmers packs for the hands. I purchased one. I went back today because I decided I wanted a few more but they were out. But, one is better than none! I'm surprised they even had them and at a $1, what a deal.
I did well with planning the trip. I think it will be a success.

I got a hair cut today. I decided on what I wanted to get myself for Valentine's Day. Fraya's Arabella bra and panties. I got the bra but it was too small. I got a 30 instead of a 32 because my 32s are getting a little big. But, I miscalculated that when you go down a band size you need to go up a cup size. So, I ordered a 30E when I should have ordered a 30F (UK sizing). So, I returned it today. Shipping cost $12 which I wasn't happy about.
On a whim, I went to Cato's to look at their clothes. They had this Faux fur formal jacket which I've liked for a while. They have also been sold out of the black color for a long time too. But, they had pink and I was thinking of getting the pink one. What are the chances, they had a black, in my size! Only black one in the store. So I purchased that. I also saw a little black dress for $10. It was a size 6 so I almost didn't try it on because I didn't think it would fit. But it did. A little form fitting but I'll shrink into it. I also saw the cutest headbands ala 30/40's hat style. You know, the ones with the lace that covers the face. I purchased one. So, now, I have a nice outfit to wear to the Opera this Wednesday! I'm totally excited. I'll look good even if I am by myself.
